Av Arcade Cut Theme

This theme is an early version of a new design that I am currently doing for Oaice.Com – But as this is an early version I am going to release it for free. Enjoy guys!

This design is a simple design based on the Red theme core settings. Currently working on Av Arcade Pro 5.2! There are still some problems with the template, as its not a final version.

Gizmodo – A Nice little privacy read

Hey guys,

Well I was doing my daily read of all the different sites, When I came across Gizmodo’s article about how one in five android applications access your phones private data! Reading more of the article it also goes onto say that out of the 50 applications that were looked at, 29 have the same permissions that spyware have! Not a good sign.

The report, from security firm SMobile Systems, also found that dozens of apps in the Android Market act basically as spyware:

Google – Site speed – Interesting article

Site speeds are very important to the end-user, but now Google deems it to be part of its search algorithms. The change has only affected 1% of search rankings according to Google, but no doubt it will affect more in the long run. Their are many in the web industry who have been up in arms about this new addition to the algorithms, but I, like few others believe speeds, as well as content should be key factors in a site’s ranking on the web.

The new look of Leightley.Com

Hey guys,

Well as you may have noticed, I have finally got round to updating the site, after many initial design ideas – I found one that I could settle with. I know its not the best design, nor is it the most technical. But, I like it, it meets my needs, and it was simple enough to create {and a challenge with jquery].

My plans are to work on my web development, and photography – both of which will be done at an amateurish level, a large learning curve. So, I hope you will follow my blog and comment whenever you can.

Oacie.com Redesign

Had some free time so went for a redesign,

After a few months of having the standard design at www.oacie.com I decided that it was time for a redesign, only to find half way through that their would be a major release of the script that powers the site – Which would make most of my planned modifications defunct. As a consequence most of the features that would have been featured on the site have been held back, which has affected the design.

Check out the design, and give me some feedback!

Thanks

Dan
